Sustainability issues are central to Chiesi. Since the outset, care for people in the form of patients, employees and the local society, has been a fundamental value.

Chiesi has developed and expanded its sustainability management in order to be a part of the solution! Sustainability at Chiesi entails being a part of and contributing to the surrounding society. Four focus areas are People, Patient, Planet and Partnerships.

We Act  a global programme

We Act – We Actively Care for Tomorrow is an expression of Chiesi's desire to do good. We Act is a group-wide programme with initiatives for the environment and society, to the benefit of both Chiesi and those who are affected by Chiesi.

The world's largest global pharmaceutical group with B Corp certification

In May 2019 Chiesi became the largest global pharmaceutical group in the world to be granted B Corp certification. B Corp is a certification for companies that want to prioritise goals other than simply profit as a measure of their success. The Nordic company has distinguished itself as one of the top Chiesi subsidiaries.

The global goals

Chiesi has integrated the UN's 17 sustainable development goals in our sustainability management. We have identified that we should contribute in particular to nine of the 17 goals through our four focus areas of People, Patient, Planet and Partnerships.
